hi all,
just looking into radar detector/scramblers and saw this,
anti photo plate on american site. once the cover has been placed over your plate, the letters can only be read by looking dierctly at the plate, if you look at it at an angle it becomes a blur, so seen as gatsos and the like are high up and to the side of the road they can't get a photo of the plate. as yet havent found anyone in uk doing them and noone in usa seems to ship them!

I've seen them discussed on the USA site recently, as you say you can only see them clear when you are directly in line so you're liable to draw unwelcome attention from the police when you're seen doing nothing wrong at all but they can see your plate is illegal either on the move or even parked up. Seems you'd have a good chance of getting nicked with it as its so obvious.

I think some bright spark should be able to take this one step further. As Bez says, if they cant see your plate plod will probably give you a pull anyway and do you for having a dodgy plate. Remember those cards we used to get when we were kids, holografic, look at them from one angle and see one thing and something different from another angle. Now surely someone must be able to do something similar with numbers, say your own reg when viewed direct on and, say Taz's reg when viewed from an angle (as the camera would see it when you wizz passed at 100+) :D :D :D :D :D :D :P
