On further reflection, I agree with BH. Front suspension is really Low Tech for such a fine machine.
I don't know if ,so called upsideown forks are absolutely necessary but variable two-way damping I consider should be standard.
The same applies to the rear suspension.
I am accustomed to Motocross bikes where you can vary the front by
Oil Viscosity
Oil Level
Alternative Springs
Variable Compression Damping
Variable Rebound Damping
The Rear by
Variable Pre-Load
Variable Compression Damping
Variable Rebound Damping
My '99 Honda CR has also "High Speed" variable Comppression Damping to compensate for big bumps or landing hard.
All on a bike which cost about 3500 pounds new.
Everybody finds they need different setting for optimum performance according to their needs.
I am not saying the
should need such fine tuning but as a class leader, it should be a little bit better appointed suspension wise.
On the other hand, the
is like a tennis racqet, you can just take it and use it as it is meant to be used.
