the bad news is bad but the good news is better :?

You seem to have taken a liking to the tarmac ... not a good habit to have but it does happen to the best of us from time to time

And you're one of the lucky bastids who can reach the floor too :roll)

Glad to hear your both OK numb nuts, but if you really did want a Silver xx there's easier ways of preparing the plastics for a respray :P

Like BA says, you are becoming a bit of a Tarmac Tart aren't you :banghead)

Anyway, hope you get yourselves and the xx fixed up pretty soon and may I suggest you wait until conditions are more favourable before you go out on it again :roll) Stay safe folks :)

Bummer Dave :bigcry: ........again :wink). Main thing is you're both alright, hope it doesn't put Fi off pillion. I'll keep me eyes open for bits, don't forget Pete at Blackbird spares might have what you want.

I am really glad the pair of you are ok. Sorry to hear about your bike.

This is a lesson to us all riding at this time of the year. On Friday I took my bike out and stopping at a roundabout I put my foot down - the junction surface was so slippy my foot moved, I thought I was going to drop my bike - thank F*&! I didn't.

Main thing, as others have said, is that you're ok.

Look for spares on ebay - as long as you're careful, should be nothing to worry about buying from there.

Also, don't write off the panels - they can be repaired. If you're in the Reading area, I can *highly* recommend:

Plastec
Burghfield Bridge Ind Est Green Lane Burghfield
Reading Berkshire RG30 3XN
0118 957 4577

They can take a while as they'r every busy, but they did an amazing fix on my ZX6R panel after a track day crash. The crash mushroom actually cracked a nice 6" round hole in the panel, which they fixed up, and resprayed etc like new all for £80 (versus £320 for a new panel).
