Well.. wheelie school is done! Managed to hoist a couple of 40-50 footers. It's a bit brutal BA. Don't know if you're going to the Bovingdon school or not but you'll enjoy it mate! Jesus was it HOT!!! In the end I was hoisting it up more than not but I am by NO means an expert. Oh and there are no pics cos the rotation of your turns doesn't allow much time and also they don't like you taking pics of mates in case a mono virgin plays up to the camera and stacks it!!

Thanks guys.
Demon. It was tyring and the weather was fookin' hot. You must wear leathers, gloves, boots and (obviously) lid so I was ab. shagged!! And I woke the next morning with new aches to go with my dying pains.
BA. There is a chat for about an hour before you get on the bikes ( 1200 battered bandits stuck in 1st gear but perfect for the job ) but there are only about 6 people being trained in 2 groups ( 2 bikes ) so once you get going you probably get to try and wheelie about 60-80 times.
Hope the weather isn't quite so hot for you mate. Have a good 'un
It was a bit weird me and me brother ( both Bovingdons ) driving into the Bovingdon village1 Felt like we owned it somehow

Do you feel you can take what you've learnt and apply it to the BB ???

I'm trying mate. But applying the method they taught me to the BB just results in savage forward acceleration. Stupidly fast!!

Ok done my session today...The method taught is for power wheelies only.
I was surprised at how easy it can be, but yet also so hard.
It takes a great deal of confidence and a whole lot of bottle.
I found myself doing to much too late and when I was ready to give it that little bit extra we were running out of time...just myself to blame , I'm just to cautious for my own good.

However overall I'd say the day was a success and I enjoyed it. A few wheelies I was real proud of and sure put a grin on my face...just wish it was an hour or two longer.

Not sure as to whether I want to put my baby through it but I just know that when given the right place, bam up she's comming.

I would recommend it to anyone who has some extra cash and would like to learn/better their skills.

I've done a couple on my Bird. Did a bit of a stonking one with my nipper on the back and got the wheel way up high :D Did a couple of little ones on the way to Squires with Mrs.Taz hanging on to the back - got a bollocking later :twisted) And I've done a couple on my own here and there - mainly just giving it fookin big licks - why? - cuz I could :D

not seen it but me mate reckons Dave Jeffries (?) had the front wheel up all the time, came out of bends and bang up went the front wheel. I on the other hand haven't got big enough cutters for that. :cry)

Hawk,
he's right, it was on the "Men and Motors" channel about six o'clock two weeks ago :-) . It also had the late great Hizzy on it as well, they were hooning around the IoM on a 'Busa, R1, Duke 998, xx and ZX9. He's absolutely right about lofting the BB in the air, it was almost like watching a stunt show as the front tyre was making puffs of blue smoke on each landing. DJ pulled a massive mono out of a right hander and kept it flying for about 300 yards :bigshock) . IMPRESSIVE and total RESPECT - that man was a superstar!!!!!!

Oh yeah and it also had a guy who thought he could ride fast - Neil Hodgson or something like that :wink) , with Kieth Huwen taking the P**S.

Hope that helps with the fact that lofting the BB for a long distance at speed is possible.
