Just posting to say hello.

Found out about the site through that apology thing posted on the BIRD site. I have been a member on there for about a year now and love the banter, help, camerarderie, and everything else I can't think of.

I ride a black one with a nice 'bird-specific plate that came with the bike.
2000 parallel bought second hand in November 2002. Standard apart from DB screen and an alarm to deter the scum.

Fell off it on black ice in January last year and fortunately it was very low speed so only very minor damage to me and the plastics.

I love the bike to bits and when I think about changing it I can't possibly imagine what I could replace it with. It has power, comfort, and handling, what more could I want.

I'll try and get the "feel" of the site before posting anything, but I look forward to doing my bit in publicising it around my work colleagues and friends.

Lastly just a bit of a downside. I now have two Blackbird sites to view, so "she-who-must-be-obeyed" is going to see a lot less of me. :bigcry:

Very warm welcome to ya mate :D The banter is great on here too. If ya give as good as ya get, you'll fit right in :)

(We have our own club mascot, its a small, mangy, bedraggled little critter, all bark and no bite, but we are quite fond of it really. It goes by the name of Taz. Watch out for it cos its a bit perverted an will probably shag yer leg given half a chance. If it gets too much, a sharp smack on the nose with a rolled up newspaper usually does the trick. Oh, and it aint house trained, so watch out for little messages :roll) )

Welcome Steve ! 8)

As for the warning about our "mascot"... a better term for him would be our "Whipping-Boy" or possibly the resident "I X X R A- BITCH". :twisted)

Either way, he takes it all like a porno-star and smiles when you're done! :P

This is a great group of peeps here, take it from me... I spend most of my 'puter time here and I'm all the way over in the States.

Normally by now, BirdAddict would have welcomed you already since he is our self-appointed welcoming committee. :wink)

Just so you know, Gizzit aint gay (I'm 91.3% sure of it) he just sounds like it. Bezzer does, in fact, know everything about the Bird. Taxi frequently doesn't remember what he posted since he is most often piss-drunk. And Taz will fook anything with two legs, two arms and a heartbeat. :? :D
Trespass sweet the urge, give me my sin again.
