Bagster

Postby Shuggie » Thu Aug 07, 2003 7:07 pm

Just took delivery of a blue Bagster tank protector from Baglux, excellent service as I only ordered it yesterday am.

Trouble is that although it was ordered for a 2000 blue bird, it is quite a bit darker than the bike. The code given by the Bagster rep was 1328F and this was described as Baltic Blue. The colour code for the bike is down as PB-284.

I've since phoned Baglux and they have stated that they have a lighter shade for a 1999 bird which is 1328D, a sample of which they would send out today for comparison.

I know that quite a few of the IXXRA guys and gals have the same colour bird, a colour I always thought as Candy Blue, has anyone else been through the same problem?

To top it all, guess what numptie/pillock forgot to ask for the 10% discount for IXXRA members................DOH!!!!

Thanks in advance for any replies.

That's what you get for having a Blue Bird....... :) :)
Everyone knows that BlackBirds are BLACK, (unless they are a girl then they are Brown/Titanium) that way when you ask for a black tank harness that's what you get, a black one. Not midnight black or moon beam shadow black or even jet black - just black. :)

Anyway, now that you have the harness you now have to worry about what size tank bag to get ....................... Oh the dilema of it all.

Keep smiling
Keep the black bits down, and the shiny bits up!

The Honda brochures list it in 1999 when blue was first introduced as Candy Phoenix Blue then just as Candy Blue 2000/01 onwards.
95% of all Harley Davidsons ever made are still on the road... the other 5% made it home.

Finally got the tank cover sorted, the lighter colour it is, although its not a perfect match it looks 8)

Thought I'd let you all know that the service provided by Baglux was 1st class and I ended up with IXXRA discount on both the replacement cover and bag along with free P&P.

Thanks Bezzer for solving my colour query :)

 :rockon) BAGLUX :rockon)

My friend with his Dickcrappy asked me what I thought would look good on his bike... I said a tarp! :twisted) He called Baglux and they sent him a series of swatches for him to try against his bike. Free of charge and arrived 5 days later. :thumbsup)

He didn't like any of 'em so he bought a magnetic bag for $40....

Not much of a surprise there-- he already bought the Italia-crap!! :P
Trespass sweet the urge, give me my sin again.

Wise words Demon,

I had a magnetic bag previously but hated it, possibly due to 'extra padding' in the front of my jacket. :wink) :wink)

Titanium bikes for girls.........
Really......

I always enjoyed having the winged bitch referred to as gold, bronze etc...

Imagine the fukn rage when some dozy tart said it looked "Mondeo Beige"

Nearly had the thing stripped and sprayed........
But I asked her to leave instead!!!! :evil)

No, I like the Titanium, (Brown?) and especially the way no-one can quite describe the colour when the sun shines on it.
