Hi all
another newbie here.

just bought a red XX 3 weeks ago after a few years bikeless, best thing i've
done since.....
Married with one lad. based near shrewsbury. repair computers for a living. Warped sense of humour  Like guiness
Yesterday discovered that even an XX gets a flat tye! (rear) this led me to discover the rear adjusters didn't. An eventful return to bikes.

Off to eire in ten days on it, good excuse to get plentyof practise in. Thought about fitting a double bubble before I go, whats the majority opinion, good idea or bad.

Cheers all

Welcome Field  Hope you find IXXRA to be the coolest place for info and friendship :ride:

As for the double-bubble... in my honest opinion they look like :toilet: but since I am only 5'7" :wtf: am I gonna say!! 8)
Trespass sweet the urge, give me my sin again.

Welcome Field, You've got the right site, right bike, right colour, now you need the right screen...I'm using the Givi. Keeps the same lines as the OEM with it been a little higher, Makes a difference .

Ride safe, have a good trip and keep an eye on Ixxra as there's always something going on.
Image …Ride carefully. It's not only bikes that can be recalled by their maker.

Welcome matey, you have found the best bike, the best site, just a shame about the colour lol . Still, 2 out of 3 and all that

As for the screen, I too use an MRA cos they are sooooo good. Fit, finish, quality, look, all superb. I use a flip one though which I find excellent for high speed stuff. Very little buffeting even a warp speed (I am about 6 foot) Used to have a Powerbronze Highflow db on the bike, didn't work for me.

Any excuse to show a piccy of me BLACKbird Image

Cheers

Adjusters

Postby dpbxx » Mon Aug 11, 2003 10:29 pm

Have you managed to get those adjusters free. If you have, great, not that they are at all acurate. The old method of string down the sides is still the best way to line up the back wheel. Once you have it in line you will see how far out the adjusters are. An inline back wheel is critical on the BB as with most bikes.
