Good luck and I hope you enjoy your new steed as much as you did the old one :notworthy)

When he picked it up, he ran through a puddle on the way home from the shop. He's stripping and polishing the caliper and fairing bolts (which went furry) and then starting on Waxoyling the sump, block and chassis before that Kwak-killing occasional drizzle starts in October :wink)

Should I enrol him in the Armchair Section?

Most certainly. He'll be too proud to ask, so we must be prepared to ease the way in for him :thumbsup)

Take no notice of him Rob - the main reason his has got no rust on it is because it doesn't go out of the garage

Looks nice by the way :thumbsup)

Sooooo fookin easy around 'ere. No expensive tackle required, a small hand full of Heinz Beans for groundbait and a stick to prod 'em with when the surface starts boiling lol lol lol

So where the fook have you been Rob  There's pics enough of my 'birds on here, all of which were more than a decade old--- I've compared them with ZZR11's of the same year and errrrm...well there's no comparison :thumbsup) See you in 10 years and we'll see how it looks and how much it costs to keep it that way then :thumbsup)

BTW--- love the 80'w Ferrari fairing look and the 92 headlights in a row across the front just sings "EEEEEEEEE TEEEEEEE GOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOME" lol lol

There are a lot of things I'd miss about the 'bird (which is why I aint getting rid) but one stands out so much, it's invisible, because I stopped thinking about it years ago---

I KNEW that unless I crashed, I'd be riding it home. My bikes have been cared for at home, at a cost of next to nowt and it never even crossed my mind that it would break down. Didn't worry about days out, long trips abroad blah blah blah----- just get on, start up, go out, get home and park up- time, after time, after time, after time.

I always carried a spare reg/rec when abroad, but never used it. Of all the runs out I've been on with 'birds, I was present at one breakdown (Wobbs on the Easter Run '06?) and he set off with the fault and got home with it. I've never seen uncrashed 'bird heading home on a tow truck either. The worst I can say is that I've very occasionally added a cable tie here and there, adjusted a drive chain at the roadside once and buggered about with some bolt on bits for other owners, but it's never been Honda's engineering that failed.

So of all the things I'd miss, that beautiful, serene inner sense of well being that comes from reliabilty stands out the most. And I never once envied riders of other bikes with errrrrrrrm....more 'character' (as the riders of less reliable machines like to call it) :wink)

Tim, Tim it's happening again jawdropping This could be a triple bluff with me sounding like AJ and things :D :D :thumbsup)

This is the UK mate---- the law demands massive, yellow, reflective number plates which completely dominate the back of the bike lol lol NEVER forgotten and certainly NOT invisible :wink)

Still have BOOJEY on the wall of fame though :thumbsup) Far more delicate and understated
