World Guinness Record

Postby silvino » Sat Dec 03, 2011 7:24 pm

Hi! :thumbsup)

I come this way get to know an event that the "Clube XX Portugal" is organizing in Portugal next year. We would be honored to receive you.
At the end of 2010, the “Clube XX Portugal” joined an ambitious project: to beat the Guinness Record of the largest number of motorcycles of the same model in one place, covering the minimum distance required to 3500m. The idea was born in strength, breathing the entrepreneurial spirit of a group of people who want to make a difference and who risks something different from what is done in Portugal in the biker world.
Optimistic and proud of the club they belong to, so expect its members to become increasingly bringing new people with other views and more ideas to add.
Ambitious or not, the goal is to say that the Club XX meeting today in Portugal, but tomorrow that may also meet elsewhere in the world. In this spirit, the “ Clube XX Portugal” is pleased to leave here your invitation to the holders of a Honda CBR 1100 XX Superblackbird, to participate in what aims to be the largest event of its kind single brand, where riders of various nationalities can share the environment of celebration, fellowship and celebration.
On May 26, 2012, we will achieve the worldwide recognition of the bike Honda CBR 1100 XX Superblackbird, do not miss this unique opportunity.
You can make your registration in our site ( http://www.clubexxportugal.pt/ ), where all the official information of the meeting " Setúbal de Mota no Guinness" will be available in several languages. Any questions do not hesitate to put on the site, which will be ready to clarify any doubts.

Thank You!

Setubal is a world

Can't believe ya both nibbling still LOL.

I'll make this a "sticky" and post it in the Bike Events 2012 when I can be arsed to work out how to create another sub Forum. Let this one simmer and see what comes to the top eh... but like ya said Oldbull..I fancy a crack at this and defo the latter. I don't fancy ferrying the Bird half way there. After being on SORN she'll be needing to strecth her legs and get some mileage in.

the link has been translated now pal, at least we can see where it is...

just had a quick looksee at a route. Its 1300 mile from the tunnel or 540 from Santander, motorway miles.

This trip will depend on how much time you have, if we ride it then you are going to want at least ten days.

personally I dont want to do a couple of thousand miles on a motorway so my choice would be either ..

1 retun ferry to santander an a site see scenic run to site.. or

2 oneway santander and scenic route back to tunnel

Another option is a ferry from France (Nantes ) I think to santander, read somthing about it on the GS forum ??

before you commit to this one you will have to make sure you can get the time off :)

Cheers Oldbull. :thumbsup) 2nd option sounds like a damn good idea.

Something to think about during these dark days eh?

(Mind you pal, Maxx2 did 1137 miles in 24 hours :ride) ...don't underestimate us Northern/Welsh type peeps)

lol

Hmmmmm......ferry from Plymouth to Santander arriving early morning. Head southwest out of Santander generally towards Leon, conveniently riding straight through (and round and round and round) the Picos National Park....overnight somewhere around Leon, Benavente or Galenda (I'd have to fool around in the Picos for a while on that first day rather than blatting straight through).

Then I'd have to formulate a Michelin route from digs to the Atlantic coast and all the way down Portugal with the Atlantic coast somewhere over my right shoulder.

Yuuuurrrrssss, run some nice 'postcard' stretches of A & B roads all the way down the coast to Lisbon, nip onto the main A roads/Mways if time starts to slip away, but not bothered if I'm late, long as I get there in comfort.........still.......
Eliminate the impossible. Whatever remains, however improbable, must be the part you forgot to service.

Right then fella's... do we think that this trip is going to be a goer with our lot or not, I know a few people need a definite yes or no (Dave.b for one ) so they can book the time off work.... I am definitley going over to Europe at least twice this year as we missed out the last couple so I could incorperate this into one of our hollidays... I have a pass sorted for the WSB round at the ring in Sept so an earlier one in the year like this would be good for me

Its still 3 months away but people need to get the work Holls booked in so are we doing it or not and for how long ??? :ride) :thumbsup)
