Hiya all,

As some of you may know, I have been having some "problems" with my mobility for a while now, and have just had an MRI scan last Friday. Well the results are in

I have 2 prolapsed disks, and 6 more very badly prolapsed disks in the lumbar spine area...Bugga !!

The docs have said that there is nothing much they can do for me apart from help me manage the pain. I have been referred to the local back pain clinic, where a consultant will make the final decision on what can be done if anything. I may be able to have injections (probably steroids & painkillers) into my back subject to examination.

So, it looks like I will be like this for the rest of my natural, as they say...

I have been advised not to drive trucks any more, and also not to try & ride motorsickles either

So, not feeling too happy at the moment...

Chin up pal. I won't say it could be worse, coz to be fair, it doesn't sit well with constant pain and not being able to move, be we're both hoping things work out for you

Just womdered, do they still do fusion ops Have an acquaintance who had one years ago, he's had a good 10-12 years on his feet and pain free so far, although there is a definate 'disabling' effect and he takes care not to overstress the fused joints Just a thought pal.

I remember the ring very well indeed... I think that was probably me Hollering, & Jan screaming about then

Sadly, they have told me I cannot even ride a scooter, so thats my idea for a 650 Burgman gone for keeping me on two wheels

On the plus side, loads of forms to fill in for this, that & maybe a bit of the other to help us with life. Maybe get PIP allowance & motability, and a few other bits n bobs

Also, I dont want to give up work & become just another scrounger, so I am looking at getting into transport management, so I can sit on my arse all day & tell drivers where to go...LOL
