Drinking story

Postby jono49 » Fri Feb 20, 2015 12:20 am

I dont want to sound like a killjoy or owt, "But" as you will all be aware about the new drink drive limits in Scotchland, the limit oop here now is 22 Milligrams on the breath sample, and in case your wondering how much to put you over? "One Pint" for a bloke! there's a well circulated story in these parts about a young lad who went out on the lash on the Saturday night with his mates and had a full session, got home in the early hours, got up at lunchtime (Remember the day's) had lunch, laid on the couch wrecked all afternoon, had his tea then jumped in his car at 6.00pm and duly got stopped by plod and breathalised and lo he was twice over the new limit :oops) I have brought this to your attention for the impending Borders easter run! we will be touring SW Scotland on the Saturday, and I dont think we have seen a copper on any of the easter runs but one never knows? the reality of how bad it is and how seriously peeps have taken it up here, three pubs per week have closed in Scotland since the new law come in on Jan 1st!
Like I say I dont want to put a damper on things, as we all like a good get together with a few pints after a good rideout and the banters good, but the rules for the next morning have changed :bigcry: on the bright side Langtoon is in England for the return trip so the goalposts have moved back a little :thumbsup)

would have thought, most people would have been ok, unless they go silly

if you start drinking around 19.30 hrs in the evening, have up to about 6 pints :thumbsup)

according to info available, a "average "person should be safe to drive at 10 the next morning, (I know there are are always variables, weight, food eaten, metabolism, size weight, etc, etc)

but I would have thought most would drink 4-5 pints, don't think there's any real "piss heads" on the runs,

fook me sounds like work, we just been briefed on this stuff,

Fekk um.

I'm not changing for no Scotch plod.

10 -12 pints Friday and a couple of snifters, then a rideout on Saturday with a half bottle of JD in me tank bag and a flask of gin, followed by another 12 pints ( cos it's Satdee), a few snifters and them Jaegerbombs that Bluegas got me addicted to last year, followed by a gentle, under the weather just a bit, ride home on Sunday.Yea, fekk um I say.

8) :P
