Fekk me BS. Akuji has a point. You'll find it best to use an Allen Key to undo an allen head fastener rather than a small chisel or screwdriver.
fekk that garage must've been damp with a capital "D". Never seen fasteners that bad.
Anyrode, now you've used a bit of elbow grease to "polish" them up , you need to protect them cos they are even more open to corrosion after polishing. Give them a "paint" over with some clear nail varnish. Otherwise they'll be back to the state of the first pic within a month.

Cheers Tim, yup garage has been awash by the looks of things.There was white powder all over and even the tank protected was mouldy.
Thanks for the tip could you loan me some of your nail varnish cos I've only got that pink sparkly stuff left.

Get ya own, tightwad. Local chemists for clear nail varnish. Cheap as chips.
