I've been knocked off!!

Postby smileymiley » Tue Jul 07, 2015 5:03 pm

Got knocked off the panzer this morning on the way to work :(
Pulling off from the A6006, B676 junction & the car behind me decided he wanted to be in the same piece of road as me! :bigcry:

Did a huge wheelie before I came down on the r/h side of the bike....
After checking my body parts worked ok got up to have a crowd round me & the guy who hit me admitting his guilt but saying he thought I was moving faster :P
Just some soft tissue injuries for me...
The panzer requires £4700+!!!
Rang BMW services and they got me & the bike to Long Eaton BMW within an hour and a half... also got a Series 5 14 plate as a courtesy car till the panzer is fixed!
Cheers

Funny you should say that...
told them to get all the warranty work done & also to fix the rear brake wear issue!!
They showed me a WC GS with the rear caliper completely solid due to it over heating due to the slider sticking... the gold coloured caliper is now bronze with the heat!
Cheers

That doesn't sound too bad...half of that will be for a fekkin new top box.

Beemers? I've shit em.

Rear brake problem? Gold caliper turned bronze from seizing? That's nowt new...My old GS had a rear caliper strip down and rebuild last year, then when I took it to an independent off the GS site to have a new timing sensor fitted he noted the rear caliper seized and one pad down to metal. "Ha, says he...this fooka has never been touched by the look of it".......until I told him it had been rebuilt less than 6 months earlier.

Fekkin BM's. Complete and utter bag of rusting, flaking paint shite,

Ro-Ro giving someone a spasm?...Get to the back of the queue please...Admin first

LOL. As long as you can move about ya ok. :thumbsup)

Cutting a tall hedge t'other day, when stepladders buckled under my enormous weight. Dropped to the floor on my back like a sack of shit. Recovered and carried on. Day later ( and today), I feel as though Ive been hit by a car, ribs, arms, hip, shoulder. Age Miles, age....and a longer recovery time. We're all doomed I tell ya, doomed !!!!!

No hedge, No ditch!!!!!!...No Drama.... "Facts".....Gravel on side of road caused front to tuck in whilst running out of road and braking heavily, the bike rested front half on grass verge, rear half on the road!!
No hedge!..No Ditch! no jumping off! the captain stopped with the ship, and got his boot trapped under footpeg! got up, and lifted bike up on my own (assisted by adrenaline)
a quick bout of Tourettes, and an assist by a passing car driver to hold the beasty while I swapped sides, (Remember Hartside is all downhill) jumped on and fooked off home!
Now all this is unlikely to happen to most of you..........COS YOU DONT TRY HARD ENOUGH! :getthis)
