'Bird Running Hot...

...Hi All...
...I've got a 2005 Honda Blackbird XX1100cc Sports Tourer - (1137cc, actually - it says so in the book).
..When I stopped for twenty minutes at a red light today, the bike's temperature shot up to 100 degrees C.
I was a little concerned as that hasn't happened since last summer...
...My understanding is that the BB was once the most powerful production machine on the planet, but are these
speeds while stationary at traffic signals harmful to the bike at all?
I use semi-synthetic, by the way - just so you know...
...Any advice on this over-boiling problem would be much appreciated.
Just to compound the problems I'm having, I fitted some Pirelli Angel GT tyres (I think)...
...instead of my usual Michelin Carriageway Public Relationship 3's...
...Is that wrong...?
PS I also fitted a new rear shock absorber recently...
...Should the spring be at the top - or at the bottom (assuming the bike is "right-side-up")?
Thanks in advance...
