But I have a sad announcement to make. All good things come to pass and all that and you cant stop the march of time can you?

So, the time has come to say goodbye and after 40 years this year I have finally got to the bottom of my 500g tub of Silkolene Pro RG2 grease. Yes folks, I bought this tub in 1976 and its lasted all these years. The last 20 years has not seen a great amount of use compared to the first 20 years when it helped to keep my Brit bikes on the road.

There's still a gnats in the bottom...........enough to lube my ring-piece a few more times, but hey, I aint tight and its safe to say Ive had my moneys worth.

Halfords finest is now on the shelf. 8)

I suppose lubing ones ringpiece with a mineral based lubricant could be hazardous to your health!!! (It does cause blackheads on sensitive skin)..yup smaller tub needed :thumbsup)
