Reminded me of my motor cross days on a maico 250....the worst of it was hitting flooded country roads in
the dark...even with HIDs on full blast it's hard if impossible to see the water...
let alone judge the depth or speed of the flow....

Drizzle in the dark lanes is a pain in the ass too....constant wiping the visor with the back of the hand
Andy constantly having to lift the visor a tad to demist...

Recent winds had banked soggy leaves on some bends....making lean in very interesting...to be avoided
Greasy lanes many with the remnants of tractor mud and cattle excrement defiantly added to the excitement

Softening the suspension and using higher gears thus keeping the xx at lower revs helped to
Ensure the rear wheel had less of a chance to spin up...few othe tricks like staying close to the crown of
the road, off side wheel track, helped to avoid most of the debris lying about.
...

Winter riding joys are many....but does need heightened levels of concentration and awareness

Enjoy out there....have fun but be safe..

Regards
Aj :wink)

'Tis good for honing your skills int it. :thumbsup)

Shoulda seen Alan ( jono's Border Buddy) and me to a lesser extent, up in the Lakes t'other Sunday. Y'know, the day Smileymiley went off roading  "take us anywhere ya want Ro-Ro, we aint bovvered.......errr but we could do without silly pass climbing like Wrynose and Heartbreak" Smiley nodding in agreement. So we then proceeded down and up the twistiest ickle backroads, single tracking with sheeite left , right and centre, roads soaked, fallen leaves in abundance, big puddles before climbing up Langdale and falling off lol lol . Me on the Bird, hard work and intense, but much lightened by me pissing messen at Alan up ahead on his lightweight, nobbly tyred.....wait for it........Ducrapi Panigale 1098. Oh how I fekkin larrfed.

Cracking day though. :ride)
