Just to wet the whistle a bit

Postby jono49 » Sat Jan 14, 2017 10:57 pm

The Highlands will be strong on the agenda this summer and the Isles of Harris and Lewis are a must for me on midsummers day standing on Luskintyre beach at sunset  It's in me edd now and methinks booking accomodation is a priority :ride) just to wet the whistle have a ganders at this.....https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8UZLESV ... ......Some peeps on here will remember a carefree ride around the lochinver peninnsula without helmets and a thought for the outside world, swimming in the sea scaring the fish etc, it looks like it's more of the same on these roads :notworthy) just sublime

Looks "familiar" LOL. Fabulous empty wild roads although, looking at the whole vid the landscape is a bit stark and barren.

Spoiled by the presence of thd Devil's Capsules aka Portapotties! Maybe if you alter the dates the 'crowds' could be avoided? :-?

Personally, I have always had this desire to spend Mid-Summer at Ardnamurchan Lighthouse, the most western point on the mainland I think and its only as far 'up' as Fort William. Almost, just almost went up about 5 years ago with the idea to meet Wolfie off Bird who was camping up there for Mid-Summer but alas , my plans turned to shite in me 'ands, as they do lol
