Armoy road races

I've just reserved 4 nights at a nice B&B near Ballymoney from the 27th July- 31st July for the Armoy road races, £40 per night per person! next to book the ferry, when I last looked £80 return from Stranrear to Belfast with Stena  but I'll find a voucher code :wink) it's a twin room, highly rated, and looks the dogs, thursday catch the ferry from Cairnryan at 11.30...2 hour sailing, an afternoon touring up the coast, get to the digs in the evening and into Armoy for the Craic and Guiness, practice friday, but that could be halfed and more touring and catch the practice later (Roads closed until 7.30pm) Race day Saturday, touring Sunday, up on monday a quick bimble around the coast and catch the 15.00 ferry back to Blighty, it would be a big ride home for anyone from the Saarf so a stop at Moffat or the Grahams would ease the pain!
So what does one think of the idea? having done the Cookstown last year I've found I need an annual fix of this type of action, and it's certainly that! :-D the Armoy course is technical and bumpy it's more like all in wrestling than racing a bike, :shock) and it looks like Guy Martin could be there with the works Honda as well

These bashes dont really appeal to me, But's that doesn't take anything away from the people that organise them Damien, Russ, etc, it takes a lot of organising and being selfless with their own time etc, I just like the flexibility of a couple of people who can change the itinerary at a whim, and head off wherever, a lot of this trip will be sightseeing and the whole of Sunday is devoted to this and maybe a lot of Friday practise, The "Dark Hedges" is very local, Giants causway, Bushmills distillery etc, But I learned last year when arriving on the Thursday you can ride round the course and get to know it, and think when the action starts "How the fook do they take that corner like that! :shock) Looking forward to this and I hope to make it an annual pilgrimage to tick the box on one of the other races on the Irish road racing calander. :ride)

My Ireland Itinery

Full day scenic ride through Wales down to Anglesey... overnighter early ferry to Dublin, scenic ride up north to Carnlough..

Done the circuit ride round, Bushmills, giants causeway and dark hedges etc but no reason why we cant do them again.. :wink)

added bonus of the good craic and organised nightlife with a load of fellow bikers .... only thing missing is the racing but Ill be going straight to IOM a few days later to get some of that propper loike

Nowt wrong with the Ireland bash mate you can do as you please if you want or you can have it put on a plate for you... take your pick :rockon) :rockon)

If you fancy an Ixxra run over there then if you go to the earlier meeting then I would defo be up for it :ride)
