It's been "free" for 15 years - how long did you expect it to continue? :-?

I paid 99 cents to go "ad-free" two years ago - think they'll plop on me
an' all when they realise I've cancelled their "variable" direct debit.

100 million registered users won't all check out, so I guess PB will survive.

Whatsapp'll be next - mark my words! :eyebrows)

One may still download one's photo's if one wishes to do so,
in order to upload them directly to the website of one's choice...

Why Photobucket?
Photobucket is the global destination for linking and 3rd party hosting. In Photobucket’s 14-year history, the Company amassed over 100 million registered users, over 15 billion images stored, 2 million daily uploads and 10 billion photos accessed monthly.

Easy to Use – Upload a photo from any device and copy the embed code with one click to host a photo with no development or technical knowledge required

Competitive, fixed pricing Offers the only unlimited 3rd party hosting plan (Commercial and Personal Use)

Are my pictures still safe?
Yes! All your photos are still available by logging into your Photobucket Account. Photobucket has only restricted the ability to view your photos on 3rd party sites.

Can I download my Photos?
Absolutely, at any time. It is an easy four step process:

Step 1. Login to your Photobucket Account

Step 2. Navigate to your library page

Step 3. View a photo and click the download button

Step 4. The picture will be saved to your computer

"View a photo and click on it to download to your PC..."

Do it a few thousand times to get them all downloaded....I may be some time.

Yes, I know Photobucket has become almost impossible to negotiate these days but thats another story.

Yes I know about and understand the standard riposte "youve had it free for all this time waddya expect" But still.
It was good while it lasted.

I shoulda thought it through 10 years ago I suppose. Ah well.

What, with this and all other disappointing and upsetting shite thats going on these days Ill be fekking glad when I drop dead and am outta here. :-(

Altough as far as I'm concerned that can go fook themselves as the availabilty of cheap hard drives means all my pictures are backed up safe n sound.
