New Bike at last...

Postby T.Murphy aka Tim » Tue Mar 23, 2021 8:57 pm

Well, the time has come to say enough is enough...Ive had the Khaki Bird since 2006 and the Pink Bird for the last 3 years and with all the ultra modern, up to date all singing all dancing bikes that are now on the market at reasonable prices I thought it was time to bite the bullet and get something new. It was with heavy heart that I decided to expand my bike ownership horizons before I got too old....I knew that when the time came to hang up my racing leathers :roll) ;) , Id regret it if Id just stuck with the Birds and so I did I lot of research over this last year of mainly lockdown and finally last week I took the plunge.

The Titanium (fekk off Duncan) Bird has done me proud during my 80.000 miles of ownership...a faulty ignition switch only letting me down last year.

The Red Bird, a W reg FI analogue Bird has been also trouble free and is as smooth as silk and just run in at 58,000 miles.

Sooooo, faced with a dilemma, ....shaft drive? .....Spoked/unspoked....upside down forks.....adjustable screen, DCT.....TFT screen in line 4...V four….flat 4…......fly by wire...oh the choice is endless ...

I had one sleepless night...and that was this Sunday night....because on Monday, yesterday I pushed the boundaries and stepped into the unknown ....

There's me thinkin you'd gone for a new Super Duke or Kwaka HS2, but no, you've bought Ramo's old Blackie.
