Of course I’ve still got the ‘Bird, ya daft bugger! :roll)

I’ve been wed for 35 years tert same lass…

HOW ELSE would I keep messen sane?! lol

Image

Anyway… Today it was back to the Bass Rock - this time with Ma Girl, who, having
seen the pictures I posted two days ago, decided that she wanted to see for herself.

Image

Great weather (again!) offered views, not only of the Rock, but also of the Pentlands (horizon,
left of centre) and Arthur’s Seat in Edinburgh (horizon - pointy hill, just above dead centre).

Image

Having done her bidding, I can now look forward to uninterrupted views of MotoGP Mugello, this weekend. :twisted)

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: my life is hell! rotfl

Sorry DA, I didn't expect to get a reply because I didn't think you'd remember me. I've been up to Stirling to see my two sons. You know one of them, Neil, AKA Part time pilot. Hope you and your lovely wife are doing well. Still on two wheels. Triumph 1200 Explorer. Neil has got my 'Bird.

Well, now… :roll)

My memory isn’t what it was, and forgive me if I’m wrong, but didn’t we meet at Donington Park in 2007?

Image

...Anyway... we're both fine and hoping you and yours are the same. :-)

It's good to know you're still biking, Barrie.

RideSafe, as always. howdy

We first met in 2005 when I dropped my 'Bird on the Hardknott Pass. Daft bugger, wrong gear going up hill. I thought we met again at Oulton Park but it may have been Donnington. Stay safe, DA.

Hiya Barrie. Good to see you're still "doing it" .I take it the lovely Pan has gone eh?

Hi Tim,
Yes the Pan has gone and I've had a couple of bikes since then. R1200RT and 1200 Trophy. Saw the 2017 Explorer advertised with only 2k miles on the clock. Lovely bike but very top heavy, especially whilst pushing it around or doing slow "U" turns. The Blackbird now lives with Neil in Scotland.
Some people ask why I still ride motorcycles at my age and I just say, "Because I can" If they have to ask, they wouldn't understand.

Take care everyone.

We were all daft buggers back then, Barrie, as in:

(Bright Spark 1) “Ay, lads, let’s all ride over Hard Knott Pass on our Blackbirds!” screwy
(Bright Spark 2) “Ho-ooo, YEAH. Let’s do it this weekend (when the 4-wheeled traffic’s busiest), LET’s GO-O-OOO!!:rockon)

...And we went!! :shock) lol

Daft? No. :twisted)

We should still look back and smile at all the good times we had, wherever we were.

Hi, Barrie (you have a PM),

We’re in the Highlands for two weeks of this month, but any time you’ve got nothing better to do, give me a shout and we’ll sort out
a suitable date, some middle ground for a meet-up - and get together for a brew, a bite to eat and a good old fashioned chinwag. :ride)

It would be good to see you again, Barrie.

Speak soon!
