Hi all just joined the forum, bought the blackbird on saturday 16/08 which was my birthday and I have'nt stopped grinnig yet :-)

rode it back from Derby to South Wales. WOW what a piece of kit this bike truly is. It's a 2001 in blue, moved up from a vfr750 the difference is amazing.

IXXRA is a great group of folks and many of us call IXXRA our 2nd :home)

Spend a bit of time here and you will learn who's who real fast... you got your mechanical types, your "scientific" types, your know-it-ALL types, your perverted types. your REALLY perverted types, your female-types :wink)

, and of course your quiet and reserved types like myself :roll)

Hi and Welcome to the Club.
Like you I also came to the Blackbird from a VFR(800). That was 2 years ago and I still get a buzz every ride out. You've got a beautiful bike and one of the best places to ride it. My first trip to wales was on a 900 Divy and I fell in love with the place, so much so that when I got the blackie I had to go back there, I'd move there tomorrow if I was sure I'd get a decent job.
