Actually, just to throw a cat in amongst the pigeons, the guy has a point. I seemed to be the unusual one as I regularly got 8 or 9,000miles out of the rear on my bird. The dealer tells me if I get any more then 5000 from the rear on my busa HE WILL BUY MY NEXT TYRE!!
So what this guy is saying is that, if the manufacturers are labling our bikes sport tourers for some serious distance riding, (and I've done it), then wtf is less than 5k from a rear tyre all about. If cage drivers only got 10k from a tyre, all hell would brake loose
I dont know where he gets the £250 discounted price from, I usually pay around £200 - fitted and thats 020's. These blokes must have had softer rubber on and been riding like complete twats to get the sort of milage they claim.
