Daft quotes where do they come from?

Postby Ladybird » Fri Oct 10, 2003 5:41 pm

I found myself today saying "Bob's your Uncle" - where on earth did that one come from?

Demontat do you use this one in the states too?

The one which always confuses me is:

I don't know whether I'm coming or going :? I'd just like to inform the person who originally said that that I ALWAYS know if I'm coming or going :D

And I never want to meet up with the guy who coined xx Andy's favourite phrase:

Well I'll be buggered :P Rather you than me dude

....and I'd love to shake the hand of the person who conjured the phrase

" you couldn't swing a cat in there " -- I wonder how he found out? :wink) :wink) :D :D

This goes back to the old sail ship navy days when the regular punishment was several strokes of the "Cat O' Nine Tails"
