You can keep your Bird, but....

Postby Ladybird » Fri Oct 10, 2003 5:50 pm

You've just come into some spare dosh - lots of it - your partner says hey no problem of course you can have another bike (and you can keep your bird) - what would it be?

The new Triumph Rocket 3, its a cruiser but 0-60 in 2.8 seconds!!, I could live with that. Keep it for sunny Hardley rider days, leave the bird at home and go out hunting for the poseurs and suck them into the Triumph's air box :evil)
95% of all Harley Davidsons ever made are still on the road... the other 5% made it home.

TDM without a doubt.

Good for the winter, but still has more speed than John Leslie at a showbiz party........

Grunty twin, Hooligan machine, and with a Devil 'Zorst, sounds like a squadron of Lancaster bombers........

Only managed 3 points on this one, and when asked by the (biker) cop if I wanted to admit to 89 mph (3 points) or watch the video, I opted for "Where do I sign?" Very, very, lucky break, he let me off with at least 40 mph.

I would like a Laverda 750S

Postby Ulsterborn » Sat Oct 11, 2003 7:05 am

I went down to the local bike shop to look at a Laverda 750S (yellow) which was looking like pure sex on wheels. having decided to keep my Kwaker 750R for touring the wife around on, she spotted the bird and the next day kwakerless I was the owner of a candy red bird which I have loved from the minute that I threw my leg over it, so a Laverda 750S please. (and think of the exersise that I would get walking it home)

If I got an obscene amount of dosh, it would have to be the Benelli Tornado Novecento Tre, the one with all the carbon fiber, just cos I think it is a piece of motorcycle art.

Image

if it was just a reasonable amount of dosh I would get a track tool, someting like a Gixxer thou or 750. Not a new one, but one that I could chuck around a track without worrying if it was going to take a flyer (and some spare bodywork etc)

Trust you Gizzit, you got in before me with the Benelli. Just the best of Italian styling and more exclusive than any Dickati. The fans in the tail look superb. 8) 8)
Just not as practical as the bird and I'd be too frightened to take it out, much more appealing to theiving sh*ts :banghead)

Yea, know what ya mean shuggs, I would keep it in a glass case in the living room and just drool at it instead of watchin the telly :P Don't think I would want it instead of me Bird though. As you say, not as practical.

No good having something if you're not going to get to use it. As for a Busa...well only to wheelie it around as if you had to drop it, it couldnt make its apperance any worse...in fact it might even improve it...lol :evil)

No point in you going for a Benelli Numbie, they don't do it in PINK :oops) :oops)

I think you'd be more suited to something with a larger seat just to accommodate your 'brain'! :P :P :D :D :wink) :wink)

NR750 - no question. And I have been fortunate enough to have seen touch and have a damn good look around one, I asked if I could ride it but guess what the reply to that question was :bigcry:

By the way yes it would be a small fortune but the question was directed at a LOT of money.

They very very rarely come up for sale and if one did it would be in the region of £100,000.
