OK, here's the thing. Apparently, as Deano pointed out the other day (and a number of other sources) the new SPECS cameras on the M4, and presumably other places, are set at 78 mph.
I have heard from a very reliable source (ex plod) that you will only get booked if your speed exceeds the speed limit + 20%. This would mean that you should be ok up to 84 mph.
So, where would you stand legally if you did receive a ticket for speeds of between 78 and 84 mph, or is this info duff?
Anyone in the know on this?
