Any experiences...good or bad ??

Not had any experience of Autocom, although I have been told they are very good.

I bought a couple of sets of the intaride units for a trip with another biker-couple friends of mine for a tour of the lake district earlier this year.

I went to the intaride office to purchase them after seeing the advert on the

site. The guy there was very obliging and willing to do a deal for multiple purchases and cash too so saved some money. They were easy to set up and can be taken in and out of the helmet easily. The quality was good for what we wanted which was 4 way communication between 2 bikes. Range was about 1/2 mile and good for about 80mph. wind noise with my helmet was a small problem but my mates helmet had an internal chin guard and that seemed to make a difference.

They are also very good to be used as standard walkie-talkies with god knows how many channels and sub channels. Batteries lasted well and there are various add-ons available now that I haven't tried.

Did you use the button mic or the boom mic? I originally had the button mic, but it wasn't too good. I've since changed for a boom mic so I can get it closer to my gob cuz everyone knows I only speak very very softly

Dunno if it's any better though cuz I can't find anyone nearby to talk to and I always forget to take it with me when I join other IXXRA members for a ride out :oops)

the autocom is good but it uses alot of battery life.

I used the button mic which was right against my lips in my helmet. Not sure you can use the boom mic in a full face helmet but correct me if i'm wrong. As i said before wind noise was a small problem at higher speeds on my shoei helmet. My friend said they were very good compared to some others he had used in the past but they weren't Autocom so still can't compare the two

Can't comment on Iteride but just purchased the Autocom Pro and to say I'm delighted is an understement, this system works like a dream, Pillion, Music, Phone you name it.
I've also got a pair Kenwood 3101's but I have'nt tried them out yet. Got the Autocom wired to the bike so no need for battery's.
They'v got a special on at the mo, the Pro is Â£209 and the Easy Rider Â£99, so if your considering going down this route, now is the time to buy.

The pro usualy sells for Â£247 and the Easy Rider for for Â£147, cost's you extra for Pillion and any extra leads ie music, bike power ect.
I paid Â£258.99 for the Pro, extra pillion headset and extention lead, Music lead and bike power from Colin Appleyard of Kieghley.

You may want to look at a couple of others also. The Starcom1 looks
to be the most functional by an installation/portability aspect.

I have the Autocom Pro-7 sport. It is a great unit that I had installed on
my Kawasaki Concours. I had every option set up as well. I have not
installed it on the XX though because the portability is somewhat lost
once it is installed on the bike. The upside to installation is that the
unit can be powered directly from the bike rather than a 9volt battery.
