What's up everybody? Found your site and it peaked my intrest. So far it's been the most informative xx site I've been on. I'm located in the U.S. and have found that the Blackbird is not a real popular bike over here. I have a hell of a time finding ANYTHING for it. :( I was hoping you guys and girls could help. :| My ride is a '98 xx that I picked up as a left over in '00. It's my first bike and I don't think I'll ever get another. At least I don't see a reason to :-) Anyway, it's great to be here and I'll try to keep up with you guys 'cause I don't always follow your terms. Hopefully I'll get used to them.

Welcome and enjoy Fodie. I'm sure you'll pick the "lingo" up in no time at all. Didn't take Demontat from TN long to work it all out, or at least most of it .

Welcome on board matey :thumbsup) . As I am sure you will have seen already, this site is much about having a good laugh (normally at someone elses expense  ) but if you need help or advise in any area, there is a good few years of combined experience on hand. If you enjoy a giggle, can take the stick as well as give it out, you'll be right at home with the rest of us. (watch out for the ankle biter though :roll), he may have rabies :? )

Welcome Fodie...
Wow you're just the second person I've ever heard of to have a Blackie as their first bike. You've chosen the best bike and the best site...it's all plain sailing from here on...Enjoy

Like my friend Bezzer mentioned, I live in Tennessee now, but only moved here 18 months ago from Seattle where I was born and raised for 31 years.

This is a great group of peeps here at IXXRA... 'cept for the odd times where a few of 'em get a buzz and start talkin' shheeiitt ! :banghead) :D

... almost forgot to address the language barrier: it's not that hard to figure what these Brits are saying when they are dishing out the cracks...

the only time it made me wonder is when someone would say something like, " I sure love having a fag after a few beers."

I soon learned that they were referring to cigarettes, except for Taz and BA... I believe they really do smoke the bologna-ponies! :D

by the way, I have some tech questions to ask but I'm not really sure what part of the forum to put 'em on. Any help :?

oh, and to all you Brits, I got a chance to hang out with a bunch of Squids (like me) when I was in Georgia. Man, you guys can put down the beer :twisted) I thought I got crazy, you guys get outta control. I can't wait to go back :twisted)

Fodie, I got my Bird last January and I have not heard of MaxRPM.

For technical queries you can post in the Outpatient section of the forum... no doubt you will get top notch answers. 8)

Fodie - just like to welcome you aboard. You couldn't have chosen a better place to start your xx 'perience on the web.

Now to this language barrier thing. I am aware that yes we do speak/write in UK English....but we do speak the same language - Blackbird! 8) And it's something we have encountered many times on Ixxra throughout the years. So I suggest, if we don't understand you and you don't understand us....then say....perhaps we should set up a UK/US/Any Language query section in the Useful Information section?

What do you think?

But Demontat will also be able to help out here too, of this I am sure, he's a star :wink)

Welcome aboard again - nice to have you here matey and if you want owt (anything) SHOUT !

Ladybird-Thanxx for the consideration but I don't think that'll be needed. I'm picking up the lingo pretty quickly and if I have any questions I'll just ask.

I do have one: what exactly is a "tosser"? I've got an idea, just want to see if I'm right. :dunce)

from the North east of England
I'm pretty new to this site as well but they do seem like
a frendly lot although some seem a little mad, but there again
if you ride around on a balistic missile between your legs aint we all
looking forward to meeting some of them at a future date
but till then will continue on these pages.
:evil)
