Battlax T30 Tyres

Postby Tazcbr1100xx » Thu Jul 03, 2014 10:59 am

Has anyone tried the Bridgestone Battlax T30 tyres on the Blackbird? If so, how do they compare to previous Battlax tyres? If not, which BRIDEGSTONE tyres have you got fitted?

I've currently got Michelins PS3 on my summer wheels and BT020 on my winter wheels. Of the two, I prefer the Battlax tyres as they seem to last a bit longer and are perhaps a bit more grippy, especially as they begin to wear. Michelins are a bit cheaper, but I think the overall value for money goes to Bridgestone.

Is there a specific xx fitment for the Battlax tyres these days or have Bridgestone decided that one type fits all :P

The T30 also comes with a GT version so I'm wondering whether they should be the ones to go for :-? Oh well, I'm skint anyway so maybe someone will have tried them by the time I can afford some lol

Don't use Bridgestones because I don't like them. Considerably better than Michelins though, and before the Bridgestone/Mitchelin fan-boys start, it's my personal opinion - my bike, my money, my life.

But, if it is of any use, I went to an open day at the local Stealer a few months back and one of the presentations was by the Bridgestone rep. The gist of it was the T30 has better grip and handling, the BT023 better wear. The T30 was supposed to replace the BT023 but customer feed-back caused them keep it in the line-up but to reposition it more towards the touring end of things whilst the T30 moved into the sport-touring slot.

Yes, I tried the Avons that everyone on here was raving about and the ferking rear tyre blew up with only a few miles on it screwy Fortunately Avon shelled out for me to get new Bridgestones fitted ready for the trip to France :rockon)

Been using T30's standard F/Back for 12 months now got to say got more wear from BT23's so going back to them in future. GT's more suited to the BIRD!
