Just joined site, apologies if posted in wrong part!

I am picking up an old '97 Black (I'm apparently not supposed to mention that they are faster!?) BB Sat, low mileage and I'll be the 3rd owner, just got to finalise the price.

Anyway the reason for this post is to ask if there is anything specific I should be looking for when buying this particular model? What makes a good BB?

carb are generally the quickest mrs batfan :mrgreen:

... except puffy pink, cackblack and bluetit models... :oops)

ask if cct have been changed, look for regular service 4k oil changes
and if it's been looked after it should be in good nick... :clap:

CCT stands for Colour Coded Thingy. Its an ECU which is different for each coloured 'Bird, making the puffy pink slowest and the bluetits fastest, with cack black somewhere in the middle.

What aj was saying, was that you need to check that yours has been replaced with a blue ECU, to release the bike's full potential.

Thats odd, when I searched the forum it said it was a "Cool Charging Turbo" it went on to specify it as an optional extra that would only fit black models?? Not available for puffypink and bluetit models?? Must be true then!

As it happens, I did get to Brighton myself this week in the cage. Looking for somewhere to pull off the road for a rest, saw cars parked in a field.... Only turned out to be a camp for Dykes down there for a 'Gay Rally'. Spot the odd one out
