I will need to fit a new rear tyre in the not to distant future.
I usually fit Avon Storm ST to my big bikes.
But as my wages aint going quite as far as they used to I am looking for advice on which rear tyre will give me maximum mileage.
What are your opinions?

I've had 8,250 outta my Storm 2 so far. The TWI's are now just a finger nail away from being flush.
A lot of the miles are commuting so it shows the delay the squaring off....at the same time it's also done a fair bit of fun miles which has maybe kept them rounded longer.
I'm fairly hot on keeping the pressures bang on 42/42 and perhaps that's helped. They've not been run ragged but they show the signs of hard acceleration coming out of bends so they've not had it all easy.
The front's got maybe a couple of thousand miles left in it so I'll shortly be replacing the rear....which'll be the third Storm 2.
At £207 for a pair fitted last time, I can't complain about the value or their ability.

One that's fitted to a Honda 50
But in seriousness, you're
to one of my cast-offs when I've finished with it for the price of the postage
I just haven't got one at the moment
Sorted!

Absolutely. Pilot Road 3s on my bike and if I ever wear them out, I'd get the same again. Ace.
