Top yoke conversion

If you've done a top yoke wide bar conversion what sort of riding position did it give you in comparison to a Bird with VFR bars or a Fazer sit up and beg type ride. My mate is finally going to sell me his Bird but a neck problem means too far bent over is no good. All info. gratefully received.
