2007 MotoGp Le Mans

Postby Jevo » Wed Jan 03, 2007 2:37 pm

I am thinking of going to the Le Mans MotoGp in May. Has anyone got any recommendations or advice.

Gettings some idea of places to stay and also visit in the area would be good.

This would be my first time touring on the xx , so all advice or do's and don'ts welcome.

only advice i can give is if your thinking of doing it book the bloody accomadation ASAP cos most peeps book it as they leave the year before
camping aint so bad but if its onsite on withen 20 miles dont expect to get much sleep there although antics will be ripe on the site
Lifes too short to eat cheap food!
top tip..dont enter the blackwall tunnel with 3m headroom when driving 3.02 height!!!!!!
motor home build finished 15 months later!!

There'll be hundreds of the bugga's m8 unless ya want a B&B when the racing's on   then yer fooked :wink) bit like the Isle of Man really- pop over tere at the mo and B&B's all over the place, give it a go for June time and it may be a bit more of a problem

Thats an Oxymoron that is...

No such thing as a cheap B&B at Le Mans...

Just think of a BIG number, then treble it, and you may get somewhere near the price of B&B at Le Mans...

Most of them are booked when folks leave at the end of the previous years meeting... You may be lucky enough to find a camping space somewhere, but , beware, theives abound around the area, and not only valuables, but tents/sleepingbags, and entire contents have been known to disappear in mere seconds...

My advice is to get a cheap flight over, watch the race & then feck off home again quick like...

Best of luck with your trip though...
Best wishes,

Rolfy

ps.. Would have replied earlier, but too feckin knackered...

Hi Jevo. Try the following:

http://www.sawdays.co.uk/search/display.php?FileID=FBB2196

Or:

http://www.sawdays.co.uk/search/display.php?FileID=FBB3713

Or even a choice of the yellow dots on this one (above one included):

http://www.sawdays.co.uk/maps/browsemap/france/04e/

Depends on your budget I suppose, but worth looking at.
