Do you need to take both parts of your licence or just the card

Personally, I take both parts. But keep them separate in your luggae / on your person so you've got some form or license if one part goes AWOL.

couple of other options also
photocopy all your docs and keep them seperate from the main docs and or scan and file them ina little usb key, the type that has a lanyard so you wear it around your neck..if tits go up then plop the card into a pc and print off whats needed, wont getyou through customs strieght awy but could save you hours or days of waiting about :wink)
Lifes too short to eat cheap food!

Why not put the copies in a file on your computor then you could access them if needed by the internet, Internet cafe, you could just download them if needed, just a thought. :wink)
Its not the falling off that hurts it's the stopping

On the computer thing

I have scanned mine in, then sent them to myself on a hotmail account.

Being hotmail I can access it any were in the world and print them if needed.

But I only keep important stuff in there for security when I need it. i.e. Day before touring they go on, the day after I get back they come off as sometimes hotmail can be hacked quiet easily.

Photocopies are good as mentioned before in a different part of your person/bike as to the others i.e. originals in the luggage/tankbag and copies under the seat etc

It's all relative security and how comfortable you want to be
