Hard or Soft Luggage

:P For those who browse the Ixxra regularly my xx has got a Give Maxia monokey topbox and monorack :-) I have also a pair of Oxford soft Throw over Panniers, which i used on my Bandit. I would be interested :eyebrows) to know your thoughts on the best luggage for touring. Mainly short wkends :notworthy)
