replacement tyres

Postby bigausty » Sat Feb 06, 2010 3:02 pm

I have just bought a blackbird, 3000 miles on an 03 plate. I wish to change the tyres only because of the age of the originals still on the bike. Can anyone advise the best brand for maximum grip and handling whilst still giving decent mileage??? Cheers

.

mornin biglusty... there are countless debate threads in the consumables section
and others dotted around....go have a look see and make your own mind up 8)

personaly i believe there are 3 excellent brands out there at the moment
the new Avon the new dumplop and the mitch pilot 2... :-)

the best all rounder for me is still the pilot 2's.. but any of the above will be fine :ride)

regards :wink)

to be honest, it really is a case of trial and error...... whatever suits you?

i would personally take the advice of all on here and whichever make and model come out top - try them.
if they don't suit you, try the second most popular etc.
the ones that suit me are the metzeler z6 but take advice from all before deciding. :wink)
Was a 1 of kind xx........RIP Zebra

Michelin Pilot Pure for me. Excellent hard wearing tyre with loads of grip on the edges. My mates have them on an R1 and on a GSXR750, so good for sports bikes too.
