:? am thinking of touring in NE usa next summer, is there anyone out there that has sent their 'Bird to NewYork/Boston by sea freight (or even air freight)

How much did it cost? how long did it take? can you suggest the name of a good company to use?.....etc....etc

all info gratefully received :)

OK try this book, Jamie Reid's ROAD TRIP USA, Costs around 500 quid to get it there and back inc ins, still cheaper than a hire bike for 2 weeks. hope this helps, its second hand info!.

Seem to remember someone on here got a quote some time back. I think Studleys about right with the figures, but it was gonna be 4-5 weeks in getting there

Some friends of mine sent their Norton Commandos to Austrailia, it cost £800 & took 6 weeks each way by sea. If you need any more info let me know & I will find all the details
