Yep i have last month, the reg rec went bang, i used the AA european breakdown cover, sat morning 2 guys turned up on a truck explaned what i thought the problem was, jumped the bike and took me a big bike dealer who then diagnosed the problem properly, fitted new battery (couldn't get a reg rec anywhere) and then rode the rest of the weekend with no headlight on to preserve power. this was in dieppe, if you are in the middle of knowhere then things might have been different.

First time touring in France - We had a 'Blade loose a chain and a puncture. The puncture was easy to remedy as we filled the tyre with ultraseal and looked for a tyre shop.

The chain was a different matter :banghead) - using RAC cover - When we 'phoned the local number for assistance we were asked for how many doors the vihicle had, was it a diesel, left or right handed steering, were we towing a caravan and how many passengers needed a carry cot :-? :-? :-?
Lastly, could we get it to a nearby garage to affect repairs :banghead) :banghead)

All this after CLEARLY stating that the bike had broken it's chain and was immobilised.

We were in Aramanches and two of us had to ride to a HONDA garage 27 Miles away :bigshock) to ask a mechanic to help us out. All this with very little spoken French between us. Have to say though, it was a top service from the garage  as the mechanic fixed the chain at roadside with ALL the right tools and then wheelied away -

Whilst riding a 'Wing Aspencade

If I hadn't seen it, I'd never have believed it.

That was probably due to him putting all the stuff he'd just nicked out of you luggage in his top box

Had an off in Italy, picked the bike up and checked it out, everthing seemed Ok except scratched plastics and bruised ego.

That night stopped in a great backwater hotel somewhere near Trino, boy did it come alive at night. Next day set off and got maybe 20 miles before it started pissing petrol out, toke the tank and air filter off and it seemed to be a sticking float, a few rev's later and all seemed well. Put the tank back on and 'Yep' you've guessed it.....pissing petrol out again.

'Ring Ring' is that 'Green flag'...Yes said the nice Lady

A little later I'm back on the road, thanks to Casale Monferrato for fixing the air filter back on the bike 'Properly' DOH, must have come loose when it slid down the road.

4hrs from breaking down, me trying to fix it and getting back on the road. Well done Green Flag, will use you again
