Luggage at last

Postby Shlink » Wed May 03, 2006 9:20 pm

At last, after years of resisting hard luggage, age and practicality have won. Here's Becky with luggage on before a test ride in preparation for her May trip to France. Hope the SW's are up to carrying Meeshy's packing

hmmm all that space for Meeshys shoes :D :D

although with the motech rack allowing the extra room to leave the indicators on, i bet the panniers stick out more than Givi or Kappa :P

No idea mate. Maybe I ought to take pics of Motechs without panniers on. Better still, next ride out we can compare notes. At any rate, filtering's going to be a bitch with those panniers on... not a problem in France where there's rarely a need to filter, but in good old overpopulated, crowded Blighty, I might as well be in a car when there's a tailback.

Thanks Jack. I'm sure I'll get used to them, just have to remember they're on when I'm filtering.

Kerching indeed paz... but I love 'em. They certainly look better than I thought they would.

Ady, does your lady suggest that the backrest is necessary? Also, have you got a standard seat or have you changed it? I'm finding the top box pushes me forward a bit and the standard seat is quite slippery.

funny how when the weather's nice, going to the doctor ceases to be necessary. There are no lives to save, and yet I'm couped up in here on a marvellous day :banghead) :banghead)

Thanks Reef. I've got a triboseat on the Fazer. Extremely effective, but after a few months and relatively short mileage it looks very worn and tatty so they're not made to last. I've suggested it to Meeshy but she wants something more permanent, hence trip to Tony Archer on Monday

Best alarm ever, Scottish rottweiler glued to bike... someone should patent that and sell it!
