France May 2006

Postby Shlink » Sun Jun 11, 2006 11:53 pm

Well, not much to tell seeing as Tim made a good job of relaying Meeshy's and my mishaps recently before we even got back to England, so instead of the essay I was planning, here's a few pics (is that a communal sigh of relief I hear? )

Day one and already lots of French pussy to be seen

Outside B&B in Massif Centrale region, twisty heaven

Pisstop. Sneaky Meeshy.

Isn't she the prettiest flower? The pink one at the back
Image

No honest... Shlink's dick is this big (at least that's how it felt after nearly 5 hours on the twisties, banging against the tank)
Image

Fugly bastid or what!
Image

This was taken about 10 minutes before I discovered my helmet had been nicked :banghead)
Image

What's left of helmet. Note big scratch courtesy of thieving scum
Image

Waiting for recovery truck, Sunday morning in the middle of nowhere
Image

:bigcry: :bigcry: :banghead)
Image

Uninvited guest in our gite the night before the puncture... I wonder if he had anything to do with it :wink)
Image

All in all it was a memorable trip, and would have been perfect had it not been for the helmet incident, the puncture incident and the fooking malfunctioning (or should I say nonfunctioning) Garmin power cable incident. Wouldn't hesitate to do it again. In fact, not long before we do do it again :-)

Hope you enjoyed that, fellow IXXRAites.

Already am. These things are irritating and infuriating at the time but are nothing more than minor irritations and quickly forgotten when you put things into perspective.

I should be in france in three weeks times :D :D :D Those photos have whet my appetite and I can't wait. We're only going for a week (bloody stock take at work!) and we are meeting our friends over there.

Bad news about the helmet. I never leave mine on the bike for that very reason. It's a ball ache carrying it around but at least you know where it is when you need it.
I'm not mad but I am
