Never leave a French motorway on a sunday unless you have a Credit Agricole credit card for the unmanned auto Intermarches.

yep. It's a fooking nightmare. More than once I had to leave A roads and minor roads to find a petrol station on a motorway. And on two occasions have had to give a local some cash for them to fill up my bike using their credit cards. Why they don't change that primitive system is beyond me.

Any ideas if or how one can get a French credit card? Would be so handy.
