Spent a fortnight there in August...

Wonderful area... Very biker friendly. Spectacular scenery. Nice peeps who speak better English than we do...

Or the Sonnenhotel-Kreuzeck in Goslar is wonderful (4star)

While you are there, go to Quedlinburg... Its wonderful.. Just like something out of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang... Stand in the town square, and you will expect the child catcher to come rushing round the corner in front of you...

Have a great time while you are there, but beware the weather... Its a bit like the Lakes...It can rain anytime...but.... Wait 5 minutes & it can change...Roads are billiard table smooth, just having had many millions of euros spent on them...

Best wishes,

Rolfy

Pete,

Did the Hartz in 1984 lovely place only trouble is i was on foot doing an escape and evasion exercise with the SAS. Could only recommend a couple of nice woods to sleep in and a good trout fishery to poach from.

Eliminate the impossible. Whatever remains, however improbable, must be the part you forgot to service.

Aaaaaah !!! Well, if you're going to the Rhine/Mosel area as well, try Andre & Marie's place... wonderful farmhouse.. With his soooper dooper garage of many wonderful things (Ducati MH900 & loads of other fantasy machines)

Thay are a wonderful couple who are also bikers, and the roads around there are fantastic... Try the backroad from the Ring to Koblenz...
