Wanted a fully faired bike. The 'Bird looked like the dog's bollo . Plus found the best colour Candy Blue nearby, although was prepared to travel.

4. I wanted something with plenty of bottom end torque, good on motorways and a good tourer...plus I've always fancied a Blackbird since I started reading bike mags - they just sounded right.

1... August 1st 2000... Funnily enough, the same day I packed in smoking

2... My beautiful BLUE was just over 10 months old with only 1500 miles on the clock

2... We had a J reg Kawasaki Zephyr 1100 in ruby red with only 15k on the clock.

3... Beacaus it was the most gorgeous bike I had ever seen & looked as though it would do everything (and a whole lot more) Jan & I wanted to do on a bike...

Wanted a good touring bike to take swmbo touring, wanted a STX1300 but could not afford one, next down the line was the , and boy am I glad that I did not get the Pan!! Additionally had spent some time on the back of a mates so knew what to expect

2. Used, although almost new is a better description (2 months old, less than 1000 miles).

3. GSX750F & GSX600R.

4. Needed something for a 400 mile each way commute so comfort, motorway cruising ability and longevity high on wish list, but also wanted something that I could take out and have a good play on. Narrowed it down to either the or a ZZR1200, pure chance that the came available first.

3. Why did you choose the Honda Blackbird? Always wanted a "BIG" Bike, but was going to get a Blade, but my Girlfriend encouraged me to get a Sports Tourer and it had to be a Blackbird

What did I have before?: selection of old '80s muscle bikes, (Gsx1100, GPZ1100, CBX1000) couple or three CX500's, GPZ550,XS650,XL500,FZR750,RD250, old MX bikes, CB100 then RS100 to start with many moons ago! Still have GPZ110,GSX750 (in bits) CBX1000(again...) & paperwork + 5.5ltr V8 for a trike...
Why did I want a Blackbird? Easy, borrowed a mate's & found that they go like stink and handle! Never had a bike that went round corners before, all the old ones were like canoeing through pig s*$t on bumpy roads...

Firestorm ( Only for a Month Passed DAS in Feb 06)
Didnt like the Firestorm mainly because of tank range , test rode a Bird just by chance , seen plenty about but not really considered one, after test ride wanted one , got one, never regretted it since . Done 10,000 happy miles on it

Dont ferget, us old uns have to show you young spunks where it all started..(I remember back in 2000 when a few manic owners met up in Scarborough for the FIRSY ever Honda Blackbird rideout to Keswick)

Used (99 T). Bought from a friend.

Kawasaki ZZR 600

4. Why did you choose the Honda Blackbird?

I wanted a bigger more powerful bike, knew that it had to be a based on what I had read and heard and my friend was selling one. It was a case of right time, place and price. I have never looked back.

Best decision I have made. (Next bike will be a newer )

Honda CB750F with 900 motor ~ 13 years ago

3. Why did you choose the Honda Blackbird?
Wanted something touring style similar to the old CB, I was looking at a CBR1000F at first as that was my "dream bike" when it came out and always wanted one, then I heard about the BB ( new and improved CBR1000F ?) and decided that it was for me

4. I hit my midlife crisis needing something to get the adrenaline pumping but still safe and comfortable. Being a bloater I needed a big bike so I didnt look too much like a hippo on a pushbike. I just like everything about the blackbird, style, presence and ability.
