Just joined the site and thought I should say hi and introduce myself.
Got the Bird back in April after spending ages looking for the right bike for us to tour on.
Tried loads of different bike before we found the Bird. Bought it with 18000 on the clock
not bad for a 1998 carb version. Now has 2400 miles on! My wife and I have put 6000 miles
on her in 5 months. First trip back in June was 10 days down to the south of france near Nice.
Went for a smaller tour in Europe back in August for 6 days. Managed 6 countries in 6 days.
They were quite close together though! Roll on next year. Maybe Spain then.
Only put bar risers on her as she is near perfect. Saving for a gel touring seat go help with
the ammount of miles we do in one day.

Yeah and this is important, coz a tedium with more than 5000 miles on it is practically valueless
What say Steve
