Nah, it sure isnt "Iainnumber"!! ;)

How are you doing dear boy, long time no hear?

Nice of you to pop in and say hello. Lot of members have changed bikes and moved on, some abandoning what were once 'friends', others still keep in touch off the forum as friends, others just lurk and cant be arsed to post cos they're too busy monitoring their Faceache friends' bowel movements and then theres just a few Blackbird purists who still frequent the place.

Just a sign if the times innit.

Anyrode, hows things with you?

:eyebrows)

Hello Iain, hope you're well. Not much happens on here anymore, it's become a music video sharing platform now. And the odd badly organised rideout a couple of times a year.

John.

Oh yes, in case you didn't know, I'm a full weight 'paper hat'

How things change in 6 years. :bigcry:

Nice to see Tim, AJ and bluegas are still around although you were and always will be part of the furniture. :notworthy)

I really would love another XX and go on a ride out again but parts of me still haven't healed so I don't think I could do it anymore. I did ride a mates ZZR11 the other month but I only lasted a few miles before the pain started. :banghead)

For now I will stick with the Scooby and get my thrills from track days

Whatever happened to the budgie or did he disappear to fire blade forums?

Budgie still around...stoolie too....ride outs especially impromptu rides rare as hens teeth these days :-P
All too hard... :roll) ...much easier to just get on the old xx and ride....chris comes out when he's not working
But that's about it.... :notworthy)

Regards
Aj ;)

What about hippo and barstool and max? Are they still around?

Good to hear Chris is still around. I did occasionally see him on his bimmer gs filling with fuel but again the last time was at least a year ago.

Budgie is alive and well. Got shut of his Blade and now a Gullible Twat with a VFR 1200.
He is in the UK at this very moment and was in York over the weekend. Smikeymiley and Ro-Ro met him and his missus on Friday and I did likewise on Saturday. He passes on his regards to you, aj, Barsteward and all the other twats here.

Barsteward is, err, well lets just say he is.

Maxx is alive and well, still got his Bird but has other interests too.

Trippo is a full time Twat with a Trumpet. I shall never speak to the coont again.

When you last saw Chris "fill up ;) " he unfortunately suffered a major nervous breakdown and has become something of a recluse since, all due to him passing the next petrol station down the road where Unleaded was being sold at 2 pee a litre less than what he'd just paid. Medical opinion is that it may take 10 to 15 years before he fully recovers and will need gentle easing back into society, bearing in mind what the fuel cost will be then :shock)

Wow, all these twats selling out duh
If I was to ever get another bike it would have to be another xx, they may be a little old now but still better than most of the other stuff available.
I'm glad to hear that les still is, and it's a shame I'm going to miss rich on his bi-annual uk tour.
I thought I heard Chris starting to squeak when he walked so it comes as no surprise.
Max had other interests? Has he found a good internet porn site or something?
And john thinks that trumpets are the future over XXs? Hmmm :banghead)
If there's ever going to be a ride out that not a million miles from me then I'll come and meet up with you all.

As for me, I'm just missing the whole scene really. I tried telling myself 'no pain, no gain' but pain got the better of me. I can't even drive a car for longer than 2 hours before needing a rest so unfortunately another bike isn't on the cards. :bigcry:

Hi iain, great to hear from you.

Was with aj today, and he said you had posted. As tim wrote, I'm afraid I'm one of the lurkers these days.

Test ride other bikes, but the xx is still my fav. And I'm still young enough :roll) to be able to ride her a couple hours non stop.

I look out for you when filling up a Barnwood Tesco, and yes tim, I still drive 300 miles for the cheapest fuel

All the best to you and Bev.

Regards,

Chris

Hi Chris,
Good to hear from you. I'm glad you're keeping well and still seeking out the cheapest fuel. :notworthy)
I still miss the ride outs we used to do especially following the Norton and getting plastered in oil lol
I'll keep an eye out for you at Tesco's when I'm there.
All the best.
Iain
