Knocking through the left footpeg

Postby Strongbow » Tue Aug 14, 2012 10:47 pm

Hi

Whilst I ride the bike I can feel a knocking/clunking through the left footpeg. I have a recent chain and sprocket and the chain is fine for tension.

The bike is a 1999 Fuel Inj model.

Many thanks for your help!!

Regards Rob

Rivit link on chain too tight ( heavy handed with hammer when riviting )

Or back wheel out of line throwing sprockets out of line causing chain to ride side of sprocket

I had a large stone chip caught under the gearbox sprocket cover, which gave a similar symptom
