Balancer shafts - I am thick!

Postby JayB » Mon Jul 08, 2013 11:07 am

Can you guys help me? I gave up trying to do the balancer shafts last weekend as time was tight and I couldn'l locate all 3 adjusters. duh

I downloaded the pdf manual and I was OK in my head what to do, but I just could not find all 3 only one of the ones on the right!

Does anyone have a picture of the engine showing their locations?

Thanks, embarrassed.com !

I'm Ok with the spanners but I obviously need glasses. Can only find one adjuster on each side, can;t see the right hand front one off the crank, or is it under the cover?
:oops)

The one you can't find is on the opposite side of the bike, just above the water pump housing. Best kept secret in XX ownership... and now you're one of the chosen few who know :wink)

LOL, cheers, you can shoot me now you've told me! :(

Must get around to this soon, just waiting for payday to give her a service, I'm gonna adjust these and get my mate down to balance the throttles with me too - he has a balancer.

No gunshots necessary... the Haynes manual doesn't tell you where it is, it just gives one of the usual B&W, fuzzy, ambiguous "..wot the fook's that?" photos
