There, thats better. Fanks, I needed that.

So, you turn the key and dash lights come on yes?

You press the starter and nothing eh? Not even a click? Does the dash lights dim when your starter is pressed? No, then its ya starter solenoid under seat on LHS next to the battery mightbe at fault. Lift the loose rubber cap to reveal the two terminals and see if theyre corroded/furredup.
With ignition OFF ffs' s, clean the terminals with ya toothbrush and maybe a proprietary cleaning agent. Mebbes give the solenoid a tap too with a small hammer in case its jammed.
If that works go straight to the bathroom and brush your teeth immediately , BEFORE rinsing ya toothbrush.

Whist watching the swoooshfookit last night I had a vision....
I had a vision of me trying to start the fekinbell thing on the centre stand
And with the side stand also sticking out....

I think I'm right in saying that ...if I recall correctly... The feekker won't start with the side stand out
It's been so long now that my memory of such stuff has faded into oblivion.... :roll)

I'll have to summon a Mobil mechcnnnannick to go round and try it with the side stand up
Before I trave the 40 miles or so to try again to collect it... :pullhair

I tell you what..I'm giving up this getting old lark....really pithes me off... : :banghead)

Still don't understand what the problem was :-?

"Sidestand switch" they cry. "Hoorah" you reply, "sidestand was down" I dont follow. :-? The Bird will start when in neutral and with the sidestand down. So, was the thick twat trying to start it, on the sidestand but in gear with the clutch lever pulled in or what? Or is the sidestand switch faulty and waiting to bite ya arse when ya next trailing ya back brake with ya elbow down?

Excuse if Im missing summink obvious?
