Bleeding clutch

Postby Tigger » Wed Jun 21, 2017 4:42 pm

Put the bird back on the road after a while, service rubber blah blah. changing the fluid for the clutch as its not so good, flushed it out. Biting point was very high, now levers gone floppy, guess the seals inside want changing.
Are these something you buy separately or complete. I see David silver is showing the clutch master complete @ £125 0-o seems a little extravagant as I only need the wubbery inner bits. :-?

Ahh, ok. Sounds like it. You tried Wemoto for the master cylinder wubbery kit? Just got a rear brake master cylinder wubbery kit from them and it was loads cheaper than DS.

Let us know how you go on. :rockon)

Might not need that kit after all. I've drained it all out, flushed it, and topped it back up, but it wouldn't bleed up. So i left the lever open with a cable tie, and its self bled, so all i need to do now, is just check there's no air. Cant see any coming through the hose, and I've done a master chamber full so i'll test her tomorrow, lever feels good and strong, not flimsy like before.
