Notchy Steering ?

Postby Sircular » Sun Aug 02, 2020 4:39 pm

Hi guys,
When sitting astride my stationery bird, (stands up) and turning the front wheel from side to side, there's a kind of notch at the straight ahead position.
I know the movement should be smooth, without the notch so, what might be the problem ?
Steering bearings on the way out ?
Don't notice it whilst riding.
Any sensible advice please.
Regards Len.

It's the steering head bearing, quite easy to change.
If you support the bike and turn the steering through the full locks you will feel it.
